A CE certificate, or CE marking, is a conformity marking that indicates a product’s compliance with the essential health, safety, and environmental protection requirements set out by the European Union (EU). CE stands for “Conformité Européenne,” which translates to “European Conformity” in English. The CE marking is mandatory for certain products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA), which includes the EU member states as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.
